Menstrual Migraine
Site Map

Some women report having migraine headaches that are directly associated with their menstrual cycle.  This may be the only type of headache reported, or it may be one of several types of headache for these individuals. Menstrual migraine appears to be associated with changes in hormone levels. When a definite pattern can be established, treatment may involve taking acute medication during the week prior to the onset of the menstrual cycle.
