Headache Care Center is an independent facility and out of network with many insurance companies. However, we do participate with numerous insurance companies, including Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United Health Care, Tricare/Triwest, Medicare, and many others. We also participate with the Cox Health Network. Prior to your appointment, our Billing Coordinator will verify insurance benefits and inform you if your benefits are out of network.
Payment in full is expected at the time of service, including co-pay and co-insurance amounts. If Headache Care Center is filing insurance for you, you will be billed for any remaining balance that is your responsibility after payment is received from your insurance.
Insurance claims are filed as a courtesy for our patients. Some procedures performed at Headache Care Center are not covered by insurance, and charges for those procedures are the responsibility of the patient. If insurance does not pay a claim within a reasonable amount of time, the balance will become your responsibility. You can then settle the claim with your insurance company.
Prior Authorizations: If your insurance requires a prior authorization to see a physician at Headache Care Center, it is the patient’s responsibility to obtain that authorization prior to the first appointment. Failure to obtain a prior authorization or referral when required by your insurance plan may result in you being responsible for the full amount of the charges, which will be due at the time of service.
