The clinical research department of Headache Care Center conducts medical research in cooperation with numerous pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organizations located throughout the United States. Since opening in 1996, 45 research studies have been completed for 15 pharmaceutical companies. The research has involved migraine, tension and cluster headaches in adults and adolescents. A large variety of medications for treatment and prevention have been evaluated as well as the changes in cognitive abilities during a headache attack. Three full-time research coordinators manage the duties of the studies in conjunction with 4 physicians.
